ABLAZE announced today that Robert E. Howard's Conan will be brought to life in a series of uncensored comic book/graphic novel stories adapting some of the best adventures of the legendary Cimmerian. These stories portray the true Conan...unrestrained, violent, and sexual...just as Robert E. Howard intended! Robert E. Howard's Conan character first appeared in the pages of Weird Tales Magazine. He contributed 17 Conan stories to that publication from 1932 to 1936. The Conan stories were not collected until much later with the rise in popularity of fantasy in the 1960s. The majority of the Conan stories fell into the public domain in the 1960s due to non-filing of required copyright renewals. Outside of the United States all of the original 17 Conan stories are in the public domain. ABLAZE will be releasing adaptations of the Conan stories that are in the public domain in the USA.
